What a blessing it is to live in the Land of the Free? We are doubly blessed because this is true thanks to my wonderful husband and all the other brave soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines.
We hope you enjoy recent pics from our nation's freedom "holidays".

Birthday Overload

This is such a crazy time for our family. We just finished celebrating Fred's birthday which was a lovely surprise party and then followed with Emma Kate's first birthday party. We, now, move on to Christian's 5th birthday party and Freddie's 17th. Such a busy but wonderful time in our lives. God continues to bless our family and we are forever grateful. Aside from the many birthdays, Christian is busy playing tennis with three lessons a week and playing baseball. He is loving school and is quite the charmer. Freddie is well into his junior year and practicing football gearing up for the next season. Emma Kate is not walking yet but travels around the house holding onto whatever she can to help her walk. She has such a loving but spitfire personality. She loves to eat the great food her Daddy prepares for her such as mahi mahi, cod, tuna, tilapia, baked chicken,  sweet peas, sweet potatoes, rice, green beans, squash....well, you name it, she loves her Daddy's cooking. On to the next celebration.......thanks for keeping up with our family.

The Simpkins Men

The Simpkins Men

Let's Say Thanks To Our Troops!

Click on the picture below and send your free card to a service member away from home today. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thank God for family!

Well said.....

"In the South, the breeze blows softer...neighbors are friendlier, nosier, and more talkative. (By contrast with the Yankee, the Southerner never uses one word when ten or twenty will do)...This is a different place. Our way of thinking is different, as are our ways of seeing, laughing, singing, eating, meeting and parting. Our walk is different, as the old song goes, our talk and our names. Nothing about us is quite the same as in the country to the north and west. What we carry in our memories is different too, and that may explain everything else."
