Happy Birthday Freddie!

Freddie's birthday was the end of February but it has taken me this long to post this because blogger has been a pain. Everytime I would try to post, it would say server was down or timed out....UGH!! Anyway, Freddie turned 15 and asked for me to cook him his favorite.....Ribs.....and make his favorite cake......yellow cake with milk chocolate icing. I am so thankful for a decent, respectful, teenage son and I was more than happy to cook for him. Enjoy the pics of his day!

Valentine's Day Goodies!

This is my wonderful Valentine's Day gift from my hubby. I already had a bike so he bought me the trailer. It holds two children very comfortably and Christian LOVES it. It is a great way to exercise, take in nature and spend quality time entertaining Christian.

My coffee and tea loving husband was pleasantly surprised with his new coffee maker that allows him to try thousands of kinds of coffee without having to buy a full size of it. He can sample different coffees, teas and hot chocolates by the cup. Let me tell you he is in heaven.

Then, of course, he needed the carousel to display his K-cups.

Well said.....

"In the South, the breeze blows softer...neighbors are friendlier, nosier, and more talkative. (By contrast with the Yankee, the Southerner never uses one word when ten or twenty will do)...This is a different place. Our way of thinking is different, as are our ways of seeing, laughing, singing, eating, meeting and parting. Our walk is different, as the old song goes, our talk and our names. Nothing about us is quite the same as in the country to the north and west. What we carry in our memories is different too, and that may explain everything else."
